Benoit Brillon has over 18 years of experience in the investment management industry and has a strong track record of high returns for clients. Ben’s areas of expertise include investment strategy, North American equities, economic forecasting and commodities markets. Ben has been a CFA charterholder since 1999.
Benoit started his career in 1997 as the Chief Economist and Asset Mix Specialist for Natcan Investment Management. In 1999, he joined the Canadian Equity team of Natcan (6 B$ AUM) as the Industrial Product Analyst. Ben quickly rose through the ranks at Natcan and by 2001, he was named Portfolio Manager and was responsible for overseeing all cyclical sectors (energy, materials and industrials) for the firm. After several years of strong value added for the Canadian Equity funds, Ben was promoted to VP Canadian Equities and Partner of Natcan in 2004.
At the end of 2007, Ben and two other partners of Natcan founded Selexia Investment Management. As a specialized and independent investment manager with 2.5 B$ of AUM, Selexia was the sole advisor for all institutional Canadian Equity funds of Natcan. Through Ben’s leadership, as a lead portfolio Manager and investment strategist, Selexia delivered very strong returns for both its institutional and alternative return clientele.
In 2010 he was identified and named one of the TOP Gun Portfolio Managers as awarded annually by Brendan Woods International.
In 2012 Ben joined Landry Investment Management as Chief Investment Officer(CIO), Lead Portfolio Manager and director of the firm.
